Frequently Asked Questions

What grades do you offer?

We are a PK-12 school.

What are the days and hours for each grade and program?

The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. from September to June. Kindergarten meets on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (all day). Preschool meets Wednesdays and Fridays (all day)

Do we need to attend any particular church to be accepted into Agape Christi?

Agape Christi Academy is a non-denominational Christian school. That means we are delighted to have many churches represented among our student body. Our staff and board members also come from a number of different strong evangelical churches. We operate under our historical and common Statement of Faith.

Do you have a hot lunch program?

Students bring their own lunches to school. Generally once a month, parents provide a “Fun Lunch” option of pizza and sides for $2.

Is this a school just for gifted children?

No. Agape Christi is a school with rigorous academics, where ordinary kids can receive an extraordinary education and where gifted students can blossom as well. We hold children to high standards of both conduct and study, but we do not ask more than they are able, nor do we expect academics to be so demanding as to prevent their healthy emotional, social, and spiritual development as members of a family, a church, and a community.

What support do you have for kids with special needs or learning challenges?

At this time, Agape Christi Academy is not staffed to handle students with severe learning disabilities or behavioral problems. Students with mild disabilities are welcome to apply, but will be held to the same academic and behavioral standards as the students in their grade. Minor accommodations for children with a mild disability/exceptionality may be made on a case by case basis by the Headmaster, with input from the child’s teachers. Please contact us with any questions regarding your child’s needs.

How much homework is required?

The average homework time equates to 10 minutes multiplied by the grade level of the student. This means that by 12th grade, young men and women are accustomed to working an eight-hour day in preparation for adult life. Additionally, homework is generally not given over the weekend or on holidays.

Are there other schools like Agape Christi Academy?

Agape Christi is part of a growing movement to recapture classical Christian education with membership in the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS). There are now over 500 classical Christian schools worldwide.
