Vision & Mission

Vision:

Agape Christi Academy exists as an extension of Christian families in the biblical command to raise children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. The love of Christ compels us to teach God’s truth with intentionality, bridling the power of knowledge with humility and discipline in light of Christ’s total authority. To that end, our school provides a distinctively Christian education, employing challenging classical methodology and content. We work in concert with parents and the church to cultivate joyful young people whose lives reflect the truth in love. Our aim is that students live faithful Christian lives, equipped to lead and transform culture through the gospel to the glory of God.

Mission:

The greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength. And the second is like it, to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Mark 12:30–31) Education either directs us toward or distracts us from these commandments. By God’s grace, we seek to train students to fulfill this calling by equipping them with…

  • Christian Education

…A comprehensive, biblical worldview that exposes the shortcomings of all rival worldviews. We start with teaching that all truth is God’s truth and nothing can be known consistently unless it has been revealed to man by God. Accordingly, we train students to correctly handle the Word of truth, preparing them to give compelling reasons for what they believe.

  • Classical Education

…A classical education with integrated curriculum across subjects in submission to Christ. We use the time-tested classical methodology of grammar, logic, and rhetoric that corresponds to the developmental stages of learning. Utilizing this method, students learn to view modern society from within its place in God’s story. As students engage with the best ideas of the world, we train them to discern truth from lies using the standard of God’s written word.

  • Holistic Education

…Godly character and faithfulness. We provide a caring and orderly environment rooted in the gospel, that encourages the spiritual growth of our students individually and corporately. We believe this includes recovery of social graces, seeking and extending forgiveness, a disciplined demeanor, a fruitful life, and selfless love.

  • Challenging Education

…A rigorous education that enables students to be effective in every good work to which God calls them. We challenge students to work hard in the pursuit of academic excellence without treating it as an idol. While we anticipate our graduates will be amply prepared to succeed in college and beyond, we exhort them to view education humbly as a gift from God for the primary purposes of worshipping and serving Him more.

  • Joyful Education

…A lifelong love of learning for God’s glory. We employ faculty who love God, love the students, are committed to excellence in teaching, and are both passionate and knowledgeable about their subjects. We desire to cultivate a community of camaraderie among staff as servants of God working together with joy. This kind of love for learning is contagious, and we strive to impart it to students.

  • Transformational Education

…The vision and training for transforming the culture through the gospel. With prayerful discernment students will be prepared to make collegiate and vocational decisions as they seek to be fruitful leaders utilizing the resources God has given them to bless the world.

We commit ourselves to this cause, recognizing its attainment is only possible through the providence of the Father, grace of the Son, and empowering of the Holy Spirit.
